17 Days!

Hey guys!!

So while I am a firm believer of the weight watchers plan, here is another one to try for fast results.  Keep in mind that faster results can also lead to faster bounce backs if you do not keep it up.  This guy makes some excellent points in this book!  I picked it up this past summer and tried it out in the fall and it works fast! I dropped 5lbs in 3 days, no word of a lie.  Basically what I have been telling you to do, drinking water with lemon and lots of green tea.  I was amazed!  Unfortunately my streak ended after 6 days.  Carbs found me again.

I read the whole book and it's very insightful and also has some excellent recipes to keep you on track and motivated.  Basically he discusses four phases, each consisting of 17 days.  The first 17 days are of course the hardest because you are completely taking carbs out as well as many other items you may usually snack on.  There a few rules that must be followed on fruit consumption as well.  If you can keep up the first phase he says most people generally lose up to 10 pounds.  Following this he begins introducing carbs into your diet again.  The good thing about this is that your metabolism is working so well that these carbs are essentially burned off.  The next two phases teach about moderation and control.

Dr. Mike Moreno has a cook book out as well now which introduces some great new recipes that can help you stay on track!

If you are a person who needs to see results fast then I recommend following Mike's 17 day diet plan.  It definitely works if you have the will power.  Maybe don't start this one until January...Christmas is around the corner and you will want to eat turkey, potatoes and cookies I promise you.

I have another idea as well, this one worked very well for a close friend of mine.  She looks amazing!! I will share this with you in a day or two.  I am out and about tomorrow for work so I may not see you guys til Thursday!

Cheers!

Who wouldn't want to be Jennifer Hudson!

Hi guys!

My apologies for not writing yesterday, I was down for the count with a cold.  I think I am on the mend today though!

I think we all know who Jennifer Hudson is, she was seventh place in American Idol in 2004 with an incredible talent that has made her huge today! If you didn't follow the show, you might remember her from a small movie called Dream Girls?  She was unbelievable in this!  And of course she had a small, but outstanding role in the first Sex & City movie.  I think she is just fabulous!

While I think she is a beautiful woman inside and out, Jennifer became a spokes person for weight watchers and has been with them for a few years now has lost 80 pounds! Amazing! I to joined weight watchers about three years ago and lost an incredible 15 pounds.

If you are interested in losing weight slowly and healthy and beginning to feel good about your self from the loss of 1 pound to whatever your goal weight is and not having a time line, then Weight Watchers is for you!

This diet works on points system that is based on your age, height and activity level throughout the day.  You have X amount of points that you are able to consume in a day.  They provide you with a food bible that allows you to plan your meals based on the number of points each food is worth.  Don't worry they also understand that you have a life and some times you will eat that extra piece of bacon, they have bonus points for this.  They also calculate activity points.  For example, if you worked out for 30mins and broke a sweat, I believe you get 2 activity points.  You can consume those points that same day or bank them for the weekend!

If you are going to diet then I truly believe this is the best way to do it.  Plus you have a choice; you can sign up for meetings and go and do weekly weigh in's and get support from other people in the class or sign up online if your schedule doesn't allow for meetings or if you are not comfortable in that setting.  I chose to do the meetings because for me the support was brilliant!  I will admit I did try this online as well, but I didn't get too far with.

I am seriously contemplating beginning this route again come January, and really seeing it through.  I know for a fact that it does work, so why wouldn't I!

Of course this might not be your cup of tea.  No worries! I have a few other suggestions and will get to them this week.

For now, do some research about the above method and let me know what you think.

Have a fabulous weekend!!
