Happy New Year everybody!!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday and that you left 2012 with oodles of smiles! I can't believe we are starting a new year again, but I am excited to see what it has to offer! So far it's been pretty good.
We are getting lots of snow here in Ontario which makes me very happy since I am a skier. I got my seasons pass to the slopes and have already been up four times! Skiing doesn't use the cardio that running would, but it certainly works all of our muscles. Great for strength and toning!
With this new year brings new ideas and new goals. My new years resolution might sound cliche, but it's the honest truth, I want to get healthy and get fit. I would love to lose 20 lbs before the year is out. I definitely think I can do this!
I am hoping to get up at least once a week to ski, zumba starts up again on Monday the 7th so that will be twice a week and I am also starting a yoga class this Sunday! It's hot yoga which is amazing! Great for your mind, body and soul. Check it out! I highly recommend it! On top of the exercises listed, I will also continue hiking and walking my dog. Still the best exercise and allows for lots of fresh air.
Along with exercising I still need to eat right. The past two weeks have been full of turkey, pies and cookies. I have been snacking on sweets like it's been my job. Not good....but I am going to get myself on track by starting weight watchers. I am hoping to join next week. Just need to settle on a meeting time and place. I have also bought myself a juicer!! It's amazing! I will tell you why I brought this wonderful appliance into my life next week. I bet once I tell you, 8 out of 10 of you will totally change the way you eat and think. Amazing!
