Case of the Mondays

Hey guys!

How was your weekend?  Mine was fantastic!  Possibly not for my waistline, but nonetheless i had a great time!  I spent Saturday cooking with my Grandma, we are of German decent so that basically means we are bred to eat and drink.  Sounds pretty good doesn't it!  Fortunately we do not used any processed meats, cheeses or veggies in our cooking.  We got our meat from a butcher and cooked from scratch.  Very delicous and very healthy if consumed in moderation.



Speaking of moderation, on Monday I believe we all have a tendency to do one of two things;
  1. Not eat at all because we consumed so much over the weekend, OR
  2. Continue to eat because we have stretched our tummies with treats over the past two days
Well I think that you need to combine those two and try to spice Monday up a bit.  Definitely do not stop eating.  As I said last week, drink lots of water and tea and snack on healthy things throughout the day and of course I hope you eat breakfast! If you are still consuming a lot, try to cut back a bit, or just eat more veggies and fruit to give your body something to work at.

Make Monday new recipe day.  Find something that is simple and looks tasty and make that for dinner.  Have something to look forward to when you get home so that you don't grab McDonald's on the way.

I ate a little too much fast food this weekend, but I did opt for Subway and Pita Pit instead of McDonald's or pizza.  And I did get the 6grams of fat sandwiches with water instead of pop.  Not too bad!

I hope everyone's Monday was sunny and lets look forward to a good meal tonight! I am thinking about Chicken Caesar Salad, with home made Caesar dressing! Look up a dressing recipe online and try it out!
