The Green Tea Movement

Good morning everyone!

How is everybody doing?  Have you been drinking lots of water?  Eating breakfast?  Did you climb some stairs or go for a stroll?  I hope so!  Even if you are only doing one or two of the things I recommended I hope you are feeling better about yourself and that you will keep it up!

Keep in mind that while I may want to lose a little of the jiggling jello, that may not be your target.  I am trying to target a healthier lifestyle, while maintaining the fun and joy of eating and drinking all the things we still enjoy.

If you are looking to kick start your metabolism even more and really flush out those nasty toxins then I recommend drinking green tea.  Some of you probably just made a face, the I think green tea is gross face.  WELL I agree! Drinking plain, no flavour green tea is awful! Fortunately the wonderful tea makers of this world have made green tea with flavour! Text time you are at the grocery store or Teopia or David's tea or where ever you shop, check out your other green tea options.  I currently have been drinking Pomegranite green tea.  It's delicious!  And 1 tea bag can last you for four or five cups!

In one diet that I tried (I will give you this information at a later date) they recommended drinking 1 cup of green tea with every meal.  I couldn't do this, but I still make at least 2 cups of green tea/day.  It is a lot healthier than having 3 cups of coffee/day.  Green tea is full of antioxidants and also has a source of caffeine in it.  Studies actually show that green tea may have more caffeine in it than coffee! Amazing!  Don't worry, you can still have a cup or two of coffee a day.  I love the flavour of coffee and will never give it up...just opt for a regular instead of a double double....no one needs that much cream and sugar in one drink.

I am going to post another tip later today and stay tuned for my post tomorrow morning, I am going to try a new recipe for dinner tonight, very healthy and it sounds delicious.  If it is edible I will share it with you tomorrow!

Enjoy your day and be bold, grab some green!
