Weigh in Day # 2

Good morning everybody!

Did you remember to step on the scale this morning?  If today isn't your way in day that's ok too!  Well I am down 1.8lbs!  Woohoo!!  Only 3.2lbs to go until my first goal weight.

If your weigh in day was not today then you still have time to get that number to drop (if that's your goal).  If you have already weighed in and lost, even if it's just a few ounces that's great! Keep up what you are doing!  If you stepped on the scale and it stayed the same that's okay too!  And if you stepped on the scale and the number increased, don't panic! You could have lost weight and then something you consumed for dinner or a snack could have bloated you a bit.  Keep doing what you are doing because you are making healthy choices for your body.

The key now is to keep going!  Just because you lost a little bit doesn't mean you get to celebrate with a pound of chocolate or bacon.  You should feel a sense of accomplishment and want to step up your game just a bit.

My plan for the next 7 days is to continue doing what I did over the first week, but I am going to throw in one more piece of exercise, whether it be another walk during the day or a longer hike then usual.  I am also going to try eating a piece of fruit or veggies for my evening snack every other night instead of some popcorn or a piece of chocolate like I normally do.

This will be hard because growing up in a German family I am accustomed to having coffee and cake after dinner.  Obviously having a slice of cake is never a good idea right before bedtime, but it makes me  happy!  I can still have my treat, but only every other day.  I can totally do this!

So for today, keep drinking water, drink some tea (if you are bored of the flavour you have pick up something different, keep your tastebuds interested), keep moving too!  If walking is boring you and jogging isn't your thing.  Blast some music in your house/apartment and have a dance party!  Those are always fun!

In my next post I plan on discussing how we stay on track with all of the holiday treats coming out!

Thanks for helping me get through the first 10 days!! Looking forward to continuing with you to reach our goals!
